I used to be a huge fan of old black and white movies. I would record them any time they came on TV. Of course, that’s not very often, since most of the old movies have been colorized, using that new technology. But I long for the days when movies were in black and white and the directors had to rely on old fashioned psychological techniques to move the minds of their audiences. Like Alfred Hitchcock, and all those other guys. I think some of the best romance movies are made in black and white for a reason. It is much easier to see the true emotions of the characters when there is no distractions by colors or things in the background and other things like that. I suppose I may be the last of my breed, as new 3D movies seem to be taking over the theaters. Oh well. It was good while it lasted. Perhaps I can have more luck by renting old DVD movies and just playing them on my black and white TV set.
