Highway Driving Tips

Sooner or later while driving an airport limousine Toronto, you’ll find that everyone on the highway is going much faster than you. Although the speed limit says 100 km/h, most drivers will speed by at 120 km/h. It will also seem like every vehicle in your rear-view mirror is a huge commercial truck hugging your rear bumper. All the more reason to stay in the middle lane and let the speeders pass. Why not simply stay all the way to the right? Too many exits that cut off the right lane, or merging cars entering the highway. Your slow speed will likely cause them to speed up and cut you off as they dart from the far-right lane to the middle lane.

When to Stop Driving

Most older drivers know when it’s time to stop driving, but many continue driving because they have to. The Ontario Ministry of

Transportation lists the following five warning signs that tell you to stop driving:

  • Frequent near collisions
  • Direct involvement in minor collisions
  • Difficulty seeing pedestrians, objects, and other vehicles
  • Difficulty coordinating hand and foot movements
  • Increased nervousness behind the wheel
